  • Everything but the words: For many of us, presenting in public is really only about the words we say.  Indispensable as they are, words are only one aspect of effective communication. This workshop looks at everything else we are doing with our hands, face, voice and movements and shows us how to develop the power of our body language when presenting our research (or frankly, talking about anything at all).
  • Once upon a time in a lab far away:  Story-telling is often thought to belong to the realm of fiction. This workshop shows us how we can greatly enhance our scientific presentations  by understanding how stories work and learning from the art of the story-teller.
  • Science on Air:  Whether for print, TV, Radio or online, talking to journalists can be a frustrating and daunting affair. This workshop will teach us how to prepare and shows us how to give great media interviews.

Malcolm Love is a specialist in public engagement of science. He runs workshops in the UK and internationally,  helping scientists and engineers to better engage with the media and the public.  Malcolm conducts media interviews and chairs events.
