Download the FENS 2022 app now to enhance your Forum experience! Available in the App Store and Google Play. Search “FENS Forum 2022” or scan the QR code. To access the app, you will need to use the email you used for registration and your registration ID.

As FENS is dedicated to minimising the environmental impact of the Forum, a fully printed programme will not be distributed. We therefore recommend familiarising yourself with the app before coming onsite.

Please come to collect your registration badge from the Faculty Desk located in the Registration Area of the Forum Centre (on level 7.3).
You are kindly requested to wear the badge during all Forum sessions and events.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

Visit our website for instructions for speakers.
• Please make sure to deliver your PowerPoint presentation on a USB memory stick to one of the technicians in the Speakers’ Ready Room on the registration level 7.3 at least 2 hours before the start of your session.
• If you use a Mac presentation, please note that you need to convert it to PowerPoint or PDF.
• If you combine video clips with PowerPoint, be sure to test it with the technician in the Speakers’ Ready Room at least 2 hours before the start of the session. Then please make sure with the technician in your session hall that the videos play correctly, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.
• Open Theatre PowerPoint presentations should also be delivered in the Speakers’ Ready Room.
• The Programme Committee request that speakers stick to the time allocated for their presentation and do not run over time.
• If any speakers are not able to attend on the day, chairpersons are asked not to start lectures early and for each lecture to start at the original published time.

ASK THE SPEAKER QUESTIONS

The audience will be able to ask the speakers questions at the end of the talks via the FENS Forum app. It is also possible to approach the microphone and ask questions there.
All session chairpersons should arrive at the session hall at least 10-15 minutes before the session start time to meet with an IT technician and receive an tablet. All questions submitted through the app will appear on the tablet.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Half-day poster presentations take place in the Poster Area of the exhibition hall from Sunday through Wednesday 10-13 July. To view the topics per day and poster board numbers click here. The poster board size is 184 cm wide X 108 cm high (landscape format). Please create your poster so that it fits this poster board size.
Posters should be mounted at 8:00 am for morning presentations and between 13:15 till 14:00 for afternoon presentations.
Removal: Posters from the morning sessions must be removed at 13:00. At 13:05 this will be announced centrally. Please respect this quick removal so that the afternoon poster presenters may put up their posters. Posters from the afternoon sessions must be removed after 17:30.

WIFI

Free WIFI will be available in the public spaces at the Forum venue. Please be aware that public WIFI capacity is always limited and therefore restricted to email and web browsing activity.

OPENING CEREMONY

All registered delegates are invited to join the International Brain Bee Award Ceremony at 16:45-17:00 and the FENS Forum Opening Ceremony at 17:00 – 18:00 on Saturday 9 July 2022, in Hall A.

OPEN THEATRE

The Open Theatre is located in the centre of the exhibition and poster area on level 7.2 and will host ongoing activities all throughout the FENS Forum from 10 July to 13 July, including Meet the Editors Sessions, commercial sessions, press events and other activities. EXHIBITION

The FENS Forum 2022 Exhibition is located in the Exhibition Area on level 7.2 of the Forum venue. All exhibitors can be recognised with a letter E (Exhibitor) indicated after their names on their name badges. The Forum exhibition features commercial displays of 140 international organisations, pharmaceutical, chemical and laboratory equipment companies, media publishers and scientific societies.

ART AND OUTREACH LOUNGE

Please stop by the Art and Outreach Lounge on level 7.3 next to the registration area to enjoy art in neuroscience projects, and work by the 2021 History Online Project awardees, the Brain Awareness Week (BAW) 2022 grantees and the FENS-EJN Image competition winners. Artists will be present from Saturday 9 July – Tuesday 12 July, 09:00-17:30 and on Wednesday 13 July 09:00-14:00.

FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments and lunches can be purchased from food stations in the Exhibition and registration levels (7.2 & 7.3), as well as food trucks on the rooftop during lunchtime.

SUSTAINABILITY AT THE FORUM

FENS is dedicated to minimising the environmental impact of its events and is taking steps to reduce the Forum’s environmental impact. As a Forum participant, you are invited to contribute, especially by:

Minimising waste and managing a responsible recycling process: the food is sold in compostable containers, please make sure you are throwing your food leftovers into the compost bins and the rest into the appropriate recycling bins.

Using the water fountains: filtered water drinking fountains have been installed especially for you close to the food stations in order to avoid plastic bottles. Please do not forget to bring a reusable bottle of water with you onsite.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

The certificate of attendance will be available to download for all participants after the Forum.

TERMS OF USE AND CODE OF CONDUCT

Participants are requested to respect sensitive information and data that are not yet available to the public by following the guidelines. Please read the full Code of Conduct before joining the event.
