Pavillon 7, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles View mapDown syndrome, produced by the triplication of chromosome 21 in humans, is known for a wide
spectrum of traits including neurobiological alterations, intellectual disabilities and several comorbidities
such as Alzheimer’s disease, obesity. The multifaceted nature of the syndrome has pushed scientist to
team up crossing the borders of specific disciplines to face the challenge of providing the means to
improve people’s autonomy in their daily lives.
This networking meeting aims to gathering the most salient neurobiologists working in topics related to
Down syndrome to foster international interdisciplinary collaborations.
The program will include presentations about current international initiatives, examples of ongoing
international projects and future collaborative grant applications to European instances.
